Court orders Killers of Col Inusa be remanded in prison
….Hearing begins July 21st

SENIOR Magistrate Court 1 sitting in Kaduna, Tuesday ordered that suspected killers of Colonel Inusa Samaila be remanded in Kaduna prison custody till Thursday 21st July, 2016 for hearing.
It will be recalled that on Saturday
26th March, 2016, at about 8:35 hour, Emeka Okeke, Precious Ebele, Ibrahim Kabir, Chidioke Opehi and one Dan Sokoto who is now at large, allegedly kidnapped unsuspecting Col in the presence of his wife and son, whisked him away, murdered and left his body in the bush around NNPC, Kaduna, and went away with his Mercedes Jeep car which they later confessed to have sold N800, 000 and proceed already shared among themselves before the long hand of the law caught up with them.
The presiding judge, Chief Magistrate Emmanuel Yusuf, after reading the allegation levelled against the suspects to them, which they consented to, said he did not have the right to charge them but to advice the appropriate quarters.
“I don’t have the right to charge you. I am just to let you understand the allegation levelled against you and advise Chief Judge of Kaduna State.
“This case is hereby adjourned till 21st July 2016, for hearing while the accuse be remanded in prison, ” ordered the chief magistrate.
Counsel to Police, Kenneth Dika, hinted that the suspects will be charged for criminal conspiracy, illegal possession of fire arms, kidnapping and culpable homicide, all which are punishable under Nigerian criminal laws.
