Northern Youths Threaten 9mobile Over Alleged Land Encroachment

The Arewa Youth Movement for Good Governance in Kaduna on Wednesday talked tough over alleged land encroachment by 9mobile telecommunication company.
The group accused the management of 9mobile of erection of their mast on National Eye Centre land without permission.
The Coordinator of the Group, Comrade Ibrahim Ahmadu said, “the manner which 9mobile erected the mast on National Eye Centre land without permission is unbelievable.”
“Youths in Asalamaleku area behind National Eye drew our attention to this illegality, we did our investigation and truly the management of the Centre is not aware, 9mobile don’t even have KASUPDA approval and as I speak to you now, a mast has been erected, and so many construction work ongoing.
“Permit me to use this medium to call on Governor Nasir El-rufai to rise and protect the Federal Government property in his domain.
“Arewa youth movement is hereby giving 9mobile only 7days beginning from Friday December 27, 2019 to remove the mask or leave us with no option but to take legal action against them and mobilize one million man peaceful protest until the needful is done,” Ahmadu stressed.
Meanwhile effort to reach 9mobile proved abortive as their men on Yakubu Gowon way office refused to comment stressing that they were not authorized to speak to Newsguide.
