Nigerian Armed Forces: Kafanchan Cleric makes case for personnel’s welfare
Apostle Emmanuel Bako of Goodnews Power Base Church, Kafanchan, Kaduna State on Sunday urged the Federal government not to relent in its responsibility to ensure the welfare of Nigeria Armed Forces personnel.
The Cleric, who made the appeal during commemoration church service to mark the Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration observed throughout the Country believed that, to whom much was given, much is expected.
Apostle Bako noted that, Nigerians should not forget too soon the gallant role played by Soldiers who fought during the civil war to ensure the unity the country now enjoys.
To him, “the Federal Government owned the responsibility to cater for the families of the departed heroes and ensure the well-being of most of them that are still alive,” he said.
According to him, it is the responsibility of the Church to pray for Nigerian Army as they fight to protect the Nation’s territorial integrity and ensure protection of lives and property especially during insurgency and other insecurity currently bedeviling the nation.
He said although Nigeria as a country was going through a lot of security challenges, but Nigerians as people must remain resolute and determined that things would change for the better.
The Cleric commended the Nigeria Army especially for ensuring relative peace in Southern Kaduna and other parts of the country, urging the personnel not to be deterred.
The service has the representatives of Armed Forces personnel and the Para-military in attendance while special prayers offered for the Nation especially crisis ridden areas including Benue State.
