New Islamic Year: Intensify prayers for unity, cohesion of Nigeria – PDP Chair urges Muslim faithful

National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Dr Iyorchia Ayu on Saturday urged the Muslim faithful to use the new Islamic year to asses their conduct for a better tomorrow and intensify prayers for unity, development and cohesion of Nigeria.
He believes that will help the country produce leaders that can bring lasting peace and rapid development that will usher in a greater country.
The PDP chairman in a statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communication, Yusuf Abubakar Dingyadi used the opportunity to call for support of the party for better chances in the 2023 elections.
“‘We should not lose hope or allow anybody to use his failure to destroy this great and blessed nation. We are a people united by a common destiny of greatness which we must bequeath to our upcoming generation.
“Nothing should change our determination and commitment to restore the lost glory of this great nation.
“Therefore, on behalf of the entire PDP family, I rejoice with our Muslim brothers and sisters of this country on their celebration of the new Islamic Year 1444 (Hijrah)”
Ayu urged Muslims in the country to rekindle their faith which emphasises forgiveness and greater dedication to peace and development.
“They should support the PDP which is the only party that can rescue and reset Nigeria through unification, economic growth, security, education and true federalism”, he said.
He however appreciated the role of all party members across the country for their support and determination towards making Nigeria greater again.
