National Youth Games 2016: El-Rufai tasks team Kaduna to win medals

Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-rufai has tasked the team representing the state at the National Youth Games (NYG) in Ilorin to do the state proud by be good ambassadors of the state, put up impressive performance and come back with medals.
The governor stated this while addressing contingents on Friday shortly before their take off from Kaduna for the games.
Represented by the Commissioner, Youth, Sport and Culture, Daniel Danauta, the governor called on the athletes to behave well and be of good conduct during the competition.
“I urged all of you to be of good conduct during the competition and be good ambassadors of the state.
He wish the athletes safety in all the games they are participating.
“Am aware you are participating in 12 games, therefore we are expecting nothing short of 12 medals.
He urged them to remain focused and work hard during the competition, “at your age I urged you to remain focus on what is taking you there and plan for a good future for your life.
“Discipline should be your watch word and make sure you win by not cheating because you are full of energy and ideas. The governor further urged the athletes to go and conquer and return with exploits.
“I will be waiting to receiv you triumphantly with medals. I want you to return with nothing less than 12 medal” he stressed.
Also speaking, the House Committee chairman on Sports, Yakubu Bitiyong expressed optimism on the performance level of team Kaduna, charging the athletes to do their very best and make Kaduna proud with medals.
