Xmas: Muslim Women donate Xmas tree, others to Kaduna Church

In an attempt to promote peace & harmony, love, togetherness and religious tolerance at this season of yuletide, a Muslim woman in Nigeria donate a big Christmas Tree to Church of Christ Evangelical Intercessary Fellowship Ministry, Sabo-Tasha, Kaduna south in kaduna state of Nigeria, in other to decorate the church with beautiful Tree and Light, wreaths, sucks, garment, ornament so as to strengthening peaceful co-existance, better understanding of different faith among Muslims and christians in Nigeria.
Chairperson of Womenhood School of Health Science and Technology kaduna, Hajiya Mariam Abubakar, who led a team of some Muslim women to the church leader in other to give him a Christmas Gift and some other presents to the widows that are face with challenges of feeding their children at this season.
The team also assist them in decorating the Christmas Tree with light to beautify the church.
She said having observed that the Christmas tree is very vital to the life of every Christian in this planet which was why she bought and I donated it to the church only so members. Of the church can see it. She added that the idea is to show that Christian and Muslims are brothers, and to join them in celebrating birth of Jesus Christ.
She further said that apart from donating Christmas tree, “we decorate it at the pastors house, we also distribute food items to some widows in selected churches as we cannot be everywhere at the same time. We do this with the sole aim of assisting our sisters widows with food to cook at the Christmas.
“When I entered a shop at the central market asking them of a Christmas tree, everyone was wondering and asking what would a Muslim woman do with the Christmas tree. So many people were asking me of it, but I know it important to every Christians in the world. That is why I bought it for my brothers and sisters to enabled them know that Muslims are their brothers and we wish them a merry Christmas and happy new year in advance,” she said.
Receiving the gift, General Overseer of the church, Pastor Yohanna Buru expressed satisfaction and thanked the leaders of the Muslim women, adding that this is the first of its kind to see such a beautiful gift from a Muslim, indicating the sign of care and understanding of all the faith organization.
