The abducted wife of the murdered Kaduna Reverend, Hosea. M Akuchi, Mrs Talatu Akuchi may regain her freedom as her abductors have reduced the ransom placed on her head from N5 million to N500, 000.
A family source who disclosed this on Friday added that, the family has been thrown into untold hardship since Monday when the attackers came calling killing the family’s breadwinner and took his wife, the mother of four to unknown destination.

“We have been having communication issue with the abductors since Monday evening when they told us to go and look for N5 million before they can release her to us. But we later communicated and they told us to raise N500, 000.
“As it is now, we don’t know her present condition though we keep praying for her safety since the day if this unfortunate incident. We are moving up and down to see how we can raise the money they requested. We are struggling to raise the money.

However, Spokesperson for Kaduna Police Command, DSP Yakubu Sabo said, the police is still working round the clock to secure her release safe and sound saying, the command was doing its best to reduce criminal activities to the barest minimum.
“We are working on it to ensure that the victim is rescued unhurt. The command has zero tolerance for criminal activities. I will keep you updated on the results of the investigation in due course, please”, he said.
