Kaduna StateTrafic and Environmental Law Enforcement Agency (KASTELEA), said it will clamp down heavily on Okada riders that have continued to default the existing law banning motorcycle riders in the state.
In a press conference addressed by the General Manager of KASTELEA, Col. Abdulkadir Zubairu Ahmed (rtd), he said there is existing law that has stopped commercial motorcycle operators in the state but people have continued to defy the law.
“We start with them. The law of the land must be obeyed. We will clamp down on this people by the time we take off at the end of this month.
“I want to appeal to you media to partner with us to see that this laudable programme succeeds. We are ready to start operation but we need you to educte the public on the operations of KASTELEA.
“We have taken the pain to train about 2,500 of our staff adequately
and we are well organised,” he said
