Another 22-year-old boy stabbed to death

FIVE men, who allegedly involved in abduction and rape of a 16-year-old girl (name withheld) from Mando in Igabi local government area of Kaduna state, are presently languishing in police custody in Kaduna.
Preliminary investigation revealed on January 16th this year, one Sadiq Ibrahim, abducted the girl and took her to one of his friends; Hassan Ibrahim’s residence at Ungwan Shanu. After having unlawful knowledge of her, raped her repeatedly and then handed her over to four others including Hassan Ibrahim, Umar Musa, Nafiu Goma and Kabiru Umar all residents of Ungwan Shanu. She was used as sex slave for five days before they were arrested by men of Kaduna Police Command.
Confirming the incident to Saturday Sun, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, DSP Zubair Abubakar, described the action of the suspects as criminal conspiracy, abduction and rape punishable under Nigeria criminal laws.
According to PPRO, “they committed the offense and we have commenced investigation to establish the case and once we done with that, they will be charged to court accordingly.
“Relatively, on the 17th January, one Abdullahi Saleh, 30-year-old, was also nabbed by police for raping an 11-year-old girl. Investigation has also be launched into the matter,” he said.
In a related development, at about 1300hrs yesterday, one Maryam Aliyu of No. 12, kamslem Close, Badarawa, Kaduna North local government area of the state, reported to the police that the corpse of her 22-year-old son, Aliyu Yusuf, was brought to the house by unknown persons in a Suzuki bus.
She alleged that they dropped him and left hurriedly. A close observation according to a Police source, revealed that the deceased was stabbed to death by unknown person(s). The incident happened at Attahiru Road by Kaduna Capital School.
Four suspects in connection with the culpable homicide have been arrested at the scene of the incident by the Police. Large scale investigation has already commenced into the matter, according to DSP Abubakar.
DSP Abubakar however urge the general public to report any suspicion person or movement to the police in order to make the state safer for all.
