Germany/NA commission NAPKC medical centre in Kaduna

In partial fulfilment of its medical and technical supports at United Nations regional peacekeeping centres, German government in conjunction with Nigerian Army, Monday commissioned additional medical centre at Nigerian Army Peacekeeping centre (NAPKC) in Jaji, Kaduna.
Deputy German Ambassador to Nigeria, Regine Hess, who led the German team to Jaji, said the German Government is also planning to provision of mobile medical facilities to take good care of peacekeeping.
With the commissioning of this project, the German government is stepping up it’s medical and technical supports for UN and boosting the morale of peacekeeping soldiers.
According to her, “German government is in negotiations with NA for better healthcare service delivery is well as for training of personnel. We are also working on provision of mobile healthcare services to augment the ones at the centres,” she said.
Commissioning the project, Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Tukur Buratai, confirmed that the provision of the additional was made possible with the assistance of German government through the German Technical Assistance Group (GTAG), describing it partnership that works.
Represented by Commandant, Infantry Corps of Nigerian Army, Major-General A Mohammed, the Army Chief said the facility will enhance the status of the centre, thereby making it imperative for the Army to maintain the facility.
In his welcome address, Commandant, NAPKC, Brigadier-General AM dada, said as UN regional training centre, the need to upgrade the facility in the centre is of utmost important.
