First Church Kaduna ordains 4 deacons

As part of fulfillment of Christians’ calling to go and make disciples of all nations, First Baptist Church, Ahmadu Bello Way, Kaduna on Sunday ordained four deacons.
This came after intensive discipleship training that lasted close to a year. The four deacons, two males and two females are to work alongside other members of diaconate under the supervision of God Almighty and Senior Reverend of the church.
They are Dcn. Michael Oni, Dcns. Taiwo, Dcns. Ajasa and Dcn. Kayode Ogunjumo. All of them had in the past, held leadership positions both within and outside the church.
In a message, Reverend Segun Oyedokun, who took the new Deacons and congregation through several Bible passages, urged them to be prayerful, humble, dedicated and fear God in their daily relationship with Him and others, quickly added that Christians should not engaged anybody in violence but rather through their living bring others to God.
He also called on the congregation to help the newly ordained deacons achieving the mandate set before them by been supportive to them both physically and spiritually.
Earlier, Minister in charge of the Church, Reverend Banjo Ajao who could not hid his joy, admonished them not to disappoint God but be faithful in the spiritual task ahead of them.
Responding on behalf of the Ordinands, Dcn. Michael Oni thanked God for finding them fit to work in His vineyard and help the church to fulfill its mission and vision, just as he wanted church members to help them to fulfill the mandate set before them as no one in the flesh is perfect but achievable.
