Alleged armed herdsmen killed 2 in renewed Kaduna attacks

Alleged armed herdsmen have reportedly shifted bloody attacks from Godogodo Chiefdom, Jema’a to Ningon village, about 6km from Gwantu, the headquarters of Sanga local government area of Kaduna State, leaving two dead and one critically injured, Police confirmed.
The Godogodo chiefdom in Jema’a LGA, has been under series of renewed attacks since May this year, but now shifting to Sanga, a community that has been suffering same fate since 2014.
Police Spokesperson in Kaduna, ASP Aliyu Usman, who confirmed the killings to Gobroadsheet on Monday in Kaduna said, “the attack has been confirmed that a man and a little girl were killed”, he was quick to add that the police however repelled the attack and still doing much to put the situation under control.
“It is unfortunate that when we are working round the clock to put the situation under control, some peace haters still moved to another LGA to perpetrate evil. Our men have repelled the attack and Police is not relenting in safeguarding our people’s lives and property”, he stated.
But President of Ningon community Development Association (NCDA), Mr. Nuhu Tukura, gave different account from Police’, saying “at 8:45pm Sunday night, Mr. Gambo Sule, 38, married with 5 children and Mr. Benjamin Auta, 35, also married with 2 children were killed by unknown armed herdsmen. “We are seriously troubled by all these happenings. Now we don’t even know what we can do to have rest. Our farms, we cannot go and our houses we cannot live in. What else shall we do?
“We called the police immediately the incident occurred around 8:45pm last Sunday night, but they could not come until around 7:30am this (Monday) morning.

Recalled that for the first time in the history of the state, Governor Nasir El-Rufai visited the troubled communities where he held security meeting in order to profer permanent solutiond to the problem.
