Activities continue in Nasarawa despite strike
Despite the ongoing strike action embarked by a section of Nasarawa state civil servants, government activities have continue unabated.
Checks by our correspondent in the state revealed that most government agencies that offer social services have continue to render services without hitches.
It was observed that some civil servants under the aegis of concern civil servants have equally ignored the strike action and have been reporting to work.
Special Assistant (Media and Publicity) to the governor, Ahmed Tukur said that, government activities are going on smoothly and that most agencies of government that offers critical services are not part of the partial labour disagreement.
He explained that the health and tertiary institutions are fully functional while local government and primary school teachers are seen at their areas of primary assignment.
He added The National Examination Council (NECO) Exams was satisfactorily conducted in all the 448 government secondary schools in the state with the full supervision of teachers and staff of Ministry of education.
Ibrahim Gambo of the state Ministry of education told our correspondent when he visited the ministry that nothing has stop as government activities is going on smoothly and more efficiently.
He said already government has commenced the payment of salaries to non striking workers who are seen in their duty post.
