20 Roads ‘built’ In 200 Days In Office – Kaduna LG Chair Claims

The Chairperson of Interim Management Committee, Chikun Local Government area of Kaduna State, Hajiya Hadiza Ladi Yahuza on Thursday told her people that, she had within her 200 days in office provided over 20 road projects.
According to her, “some of the locations of these road construction projects in Chikun Local Government Area includes; Janruwa Junction /Ungwan Boro, Kujama, kankumi and Ungwan Yelwa Communities respectively.”

The politician stated this while addressing a townhall meeting in Kaduna with representatives from selected communities in the council.
She clarified recent infractions concerning the community development projects in the local government, specifically those reportedly jettisoned for the ones not initially captured in the state’s budget of 2019.
She told the participants that her admisnitration would never dump or convert any people’s oriented projects voted in 2019 budget and replacing them with a pedestrian bridge as claimed or speculated by the Councilors.
She recalled that a lot havebeen happening in Chikun council in terms of development strides, which are in line with the current administration of the state’s Governor, Nasir El-Rufai to deliver dividends of democracy to the good people of the State.
Yahuza said with the support of the state government, Chikun Local Government has provided some laudable infrastructures and people’s oriented projects within the period under her administration.
Her words, “within 200 days in office as Chairman of Local Government Council Executive, I have been able to provide over 20 road projects which cuts across different wards under the Local Government.
“We’ve also provided electrification and women empowerment projects in manyareas within the rural and urban centres of the Local Government, to improveliving standards.
“For purpose of clarity, some of the locations of these road construction projects in Chikun Local Government Area includes; Janruwa Junction /Ungwan Boro, Kujama, kankumi and Ungwan Yelwa Communities respectively.
“The one of electrification and empowerment project took place in area like Rido, Nasarawa, Kakau, Narayi, Kujama, Kamazou, U/Laka and Kankumi respectively.”
While challenging the participants to to verify the aforementioned projects, the council chairperson said due to “human errors and imperfections, we might have left out one or two areas that are key and important to the survival of our people; however, we hope to make amends as we progress and overcome those challenges in the course of life.”
