Islamic group known as Sisters of Jannah (SOJ), Kaduna zone, at the weekend visited and donated food items, clothing, toiletries and essential drugs to a Kaduna-based Al-Ihsan Balsuma Chairity Organisation.
Receiving the items at the organisation’s home located at Matawalle road, Sabon Garin Nassarawa, Kaduna South local government area of the State, Home Director, Firdausi Muhammad Yusuf said, the gesture by SOJ showed that, there is hope for vulnerable children in Nigerian society.
She said, “this orphanage home was established some 36 years ago by my mother of blessed memories and it has touched many lives. We have about five categories of children here; the abandoned, vulnerable, rejected, orphan and half orphan.
“We rely on Almighty Allah and donations from organisations and well-meaning individuals as God puts it in their heart to support us. In fact, we have some people coming around to pick just a child and be responsible for his or her upkeep including education, medical and feeding though such children are still with us here.

“So, on behalf of the orphanage and these wonderful children, I want to thank SOJ for donating these items to us. May the Almighty Allah bless everyone that has made this possible. We are grateful to you all,” she added.
Earlier, the Coordinator, SOJ, Kaduna zone, Hajiya Rukayat Olaitan Bello said, her association was only doing what Almighty Allah commanded, through which they could seek forgiveness and God can forgive their shortcomings at such a time as this.
“We know that, there are other organisations that do bring food and other items to them. So, we are just priviledged to bring these items which include food, clothing, toiletries and essential drugs. Coincidentally, this is election time and they need these things.
“One unique thing we did was that, we did not just bring these items valued at about N500,000 here. As matter of fact, this is the second time we would be coming. We came earlier to know what they need so we don’t just bring things anyhow.
“It was based on that earlier visitation we know what they need and we have been able to tasked ourselves as sisters to help the needy and we thank Almighty Allah for using us to get this done today. We shall do more as God blesses us, Insha Allah,” she said.
