Several people survive Kaduna train crash – Gobroadsheet

Kaduna Sector Command of Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC) has debunked rumour making the round that five persons were killed when a train crashed through a truck along Mando Road in Kaduna.
The cargo train had on Tuesday night along Mando road, Kaduna North Local Government Area of the state crashed against a truck that was trying to maneuver its way through. The noise from the coalition was said to have created panic among the residents but men from the Nigeria Airforce Base kaduna which is some meters away front the scene rushed to the area to help the injured and maintained law and order.
The leader of the team set up to clear the accident scene, Abdullahi Mohammed disclosed this while speaking to journalists who visited the scene of the crash on Wednesday.
According to Abdullahi, some people were injured in the accident including the driver of the truck and his motor boy, adding that they are receiving treatment at a hospital in kaduna and are in a stable condition.
“The victims that we are much concerned with now is the bread hawkers and his friend who sustained injuries when the truck fell on their side.
“The injury is serious but the medical team said it is not life threatening. Let me use this opportunity to called on all hawkers to keep away from such spot to forestall future occurrence”, he said
The Federal Road Safely Corp personnel later arrived the scene with police men from Mando Division. As at the time of filling this report the road has been cleared and the truck tolled away.
