Ramadan: NASFAT, Buhari wife donates food items worth millions to IDPs in Kaduna

Nasrul-lahi-l-Fatih Society (NASFAT) yesterday extended hand of fellowship to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) by a way of donating food and clothing worth five hundred thousand Naira (N500,000)
Also, Wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, Hajiya Aishatu Buhari donated two trailer loads of food items to Kaduna State Government for onward distribution to its citizens.
Coordinator, Buhari support group, who represented Buhari wife, Hajiya Binta Mua’azu, said, she feels the pains Nigerians are passing through presently, saying the donation was part of her efforts to touch the lives of the needy in the society, particularly in this trying moment of the economy and in the spirit of the Ramadan season.
Speaking while donating the items to the persons at Danhono 1, New Millennium city layout area of the state, Chairman of NASFA in the state, Engineer Muhideen Alimi Yusuf said the gesture is part of programmes set out during the month of Ramadan.
He further said NASFAT carried out the program to alleviate and improve the standard of living of the IDPs who are majorly affected by insurgency in the Northeast.
“We got an hint about the poor and deplorable condition of living in this community. And our coming here today confirmed that it is true, the situation is very bad.
“We urge government and associations to come to the aid of this community. They really need a lot of help.
“What we brought today is token. The community needs much more than that. So we call on well to do persons to come to the aid of the Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs scattered around the state.”
Chairman of the IDPs in the area, Malam Dahiru Saidu Mubi while receiving the items said it has over 2,000 IDPs and complaining bitterly about the deplorable condition where they have no shelter, food to eat.
Items donated include cartons of Macaroni, Spaghetti, 5kg bags of Semovita and Wheat.
