Peoples Redemption Party, (PRP) has been hyped to be best alternative to ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and main opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) with reference to Kaduna State.
The Party’s Scribe in Kaduna, Barrister Shuaibu Yamusa told newsmen that his party was out to redeem the people of Kaduna State from the administration of Governor Nasir el-Rufai ladened with anti-electorate policies close to four years.
The Legal Practitioner made this known during a press conference at the Nigeria Union of Journalist, Kaduna State Council Secretariat on Wednesday, 5th of December, 2018 ahead the party’s preparation for 2019 general elections.
The Secretary use the opportunity to unveil Alhaji Ahmad Tijjani Umar as PRP governorship candidate in March 2019 governorship election in the state.
“We as a party are out to redeem the people from all that they are going through and to give them hope through a purposeful and all embracing government that will carry all along in all spheres of life.
“Leadership is about people, their feelings and welfare, their security and economic freedom, it is not doctorial where opposition are maligned and persecuted; but an all embracing leader, not decisive.
“So many workers and traditional rulers in the state were unceremoniously and with no regards to due process relieved of their means of livelihood thereby suffocating the unemployment market.”
He said, “PRP is presenting to the state a candidate that is all embracing and not divisive. A candidate that is known to be a humanitarian, a philanthropist, a renowned businessman, one who will have the feelings of people at heart, and not an all knowing governor.
“It is our conviction and that of many other citizens that the PRP candidate only has the skills and has also resolved to tackle the many burning issues of the state.
“This will be done by collective participation and fairness to all. It will be government of the people, by the people and for the people.
“Our governorship candidate, Alhaji Ahmad Tijjani Umar, is a man that has the people at heart, he has proven himself in his relationship with the citizens of Kaduna state irrespective of their differences and given the mandate will definitely restore the fortunes the state was known during the PRP – administration in the early 80s.
“So, we are calling on Nigerians particularly the people of Kaduna State to vote wisely this time around in the coming 2019, elections. When we say people must vote wisely, we mean they must vote solutions to the problems bedeviling the state.”
