Osun: Where Is Sen. Ajibola Bashiru?

OPINION BY WALE AMINU
A friend in need is a friend in deed and whatever we do today, tomorrow shall tell. Dr. Ajibola Bashiru is the Senator representing Osun Central in the National Assembly.
In this difficult time of lockdown, we have been calling on the Senator to assist the people of his constituency to cushion the effects of lockdown, but the Senator has kept mute. He’s been deleting and hiding comments.
In this time of lockdown, how do we expect Okada riders, mini-bus (korope) drivers, mechanic, vulcanizers, shoemakers and the aged to eat? Those who have money cannot access food. All these people have families they feed. We don’t know when this will end, but if something is not done quickly, many will die inside.
They have almost shut local government offices. So, the LG’s Chairmen cannot be called upon now. Our Senator is our representative in the Federal Government. He’s been collecting resources on behalf of our senatorial constituency. This is the best time the Senator can give back to his people, but he’s busy celebrating birthdays on Facebook.
If the Minister is playing our intelligent from Abuja, what of our own brother Senator? Well, “ajumobi kokan ta’nu”.
The Senator should just go and make enquiry on his predecessors. There is a recent case of One top legislator just took the job of a Hotel Supervisor in Osogbo. He didn’t see the end coming when he was being called to order.
Very soon, people will return to work and they won’t need Senator Ajibola’s money again and he will be put to shame.
…just getting emotional nio.
