Njidda Gagara bags Sardauna platinum leadership award
As a result of love for his people and others who have had conyact with him, Abubakar Njidda Gagara has bagged Sir Ahmadu Bello Sardauna Platinum Leadership award.
The award, which now made him to be referred to as Garkuwan Matasan Arewa, was conferred on him by Leadership of Arewa Youth Assembly (AYA) in Yola, Adamawa State recently, aiming at spur him to touch more lives.
Abubakar Njidda Gagara works with the World Health Organization (WHO) in Gombe State office and has helped many people in the course of his social responsibility.
He attended Nigerian College of Accountancy, Jos, 2016-2017 and a member of several professional bodies include Fellow, The Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria.
Professional Fellowship Doctorate Awardee by The Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria, July 2014 in recognition of outstanding professional competence in Economics.
Associate, Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) among others.
Clerk of AYA, Hon. Desmond Minakaro, who led other members of the Assembly from the 19 Nothern States and FCT to honour one of their mentors said, Njidda Gagara deserved to be honoured by those who had felt his humanitarian services across different places he has visited.
According to AYA, “We gathered here today in honour of one of the great sons of Northern Nigeria, to celebrate a man God has been using to touch lives at different places, a man with big heart, a man who has come, seen and conquered, a man with intimidating credentials, a man who is dillegent in his duty at home and abroad. The list is endless.
“This is one man who has single-handedly built many youths to be responsible citizens. We appreciate your courage at moving the country forward and sacrifices you have made and still making to make us better citizens like your very self.
“Therefore in recognition of your numerous service to humanity and Almighty Allah, AYA is here to confer on you one of the b biggest awards in this part of the world today, Sir Ahmadu Bello Sardauna Platinum Leadership Award. You are now Garkuwan Matasan Arewa.
“Certainly this is not going to be the last one as we believe that, many who are also seeing your good deeds will recognise you soon because the sky is just the beginning of good things that will happen to you. We thank you for all you have done sir”, he added.
There were several other goodwill messages by different people from the State, his place of work and home town Ganye, too numerous to mention.
In his acceptance speech, Gagara thanked the AYA for the honour and promised to do his best to better the community.
According to him, “I’m honoured with this award. This award came to me as a big surprise and I know what this means. This means greater recognition, greater power and greater responsibility.
“God will help me to do more in affecting lives positively anywhere I found myself. I’m grateful to the organisers of this event, well wishers, my family and every one of you that has contributed in one way or the order to make this a reality. Thank you all”.
