Kaduna inferno: Sen Sani fulfills N1m promise to traders

Chairman, Senate Committee on Foreign and Domestic Debts, Senator Shehu Sani, today fulfilled the N1million cash-promise to traders affected by the Tuesday fire disaster that razed over 500 make-shift shops.
Senator Sani said the need to fulfill the promise quickly was to help provide temporary succour to cushion effect of the huge financial lost on the affected traders.
Speaking through his Special Adviser on Political Matters and ideology, Alhaji Ahmed Suleiman, Sani urged the traders to be patient as efforts are being made to work out a better alternative for them.
“We are aware that the one million naira donation cannot serve as compensation for the huge financial lost ,but we hope it help solve some family problems ,especially that all your goods were burnt in the inferno” . He explained.
Responding on behalf of other marketers, Chairman of Kaduna Railway Market Traders, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa, appreciated thanked the lawmaker and assured him of equitable sharing to all affected traders.
He then reminded the lawmaker of his promise to see the management of railway market and Minister of Transport on behalf of the traders for an alternative trading place.
Senator Shehu Sani is the first personality to identified with these victims financially.
