Kaduna Electric set to install 3 transformers in Kamazo

The Management of Kaduna Electric, the operator of Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company has assured the Kamazo community, a settlement in the surbub of Kaduna metropolis that the Company is working assiduously to install three transformers in the community to replace the two faulty ones soon.
This was disclosed by the Business Development and Relationship Officer of Barnawa Area office of the Company, Mrs. Ya’ana Yaro during a stakeholders meeting with representatives of the Community in Kaduna today.
A press statement issued by Abdulazeez Abdullahi, the Head Corporate communications of Kaduna Electric, further disclosed that The Electricity Distribution Company is making effort to deploy three transformers to Kamazo community to replace the two transformers burnt eleven and three months ago respectively.
According to him, one of the faulty transformers has been repaired and shall be returned to the community this week while efforts are being made to procure another one.
“Given the rapid development and expansion being recorded at the Community, we planned to installed three transformers in Kamazo community in due course as the load is beyond the capacity of the two transformers”, the statement added.
He appealed to the community for patience and understanding as the problem is receiving attention.
However, residents of Angwan Maijero, a close community to Kamazo, have over the weekend staged a peaceful protest to register their grievances over what they called insensitivity on the part of Kaduna Electric to give them transformers that could effectively serve them instead of the ‘sick’ one they had.
