Information reaching Gobroadsheet has it that 28 students of the Bethel Baptist High School, Damishi, Kaduna, have been freed by their abductors on Sunday morning though details are still sketchy.
Gobroadsheet reports that over 120 students (males and females) of the school were abducted when bandits stormed their hostels earlier this month.
With the release of these 28, about 80 are still being held in captivity.
Confirming this development, Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria in Kaduna, Reverend Joseph Hayab hinted that, the freed students would be reunited with their parents at the school premises anytime soon.
Hayab expressed optimism that the remaining ones would soon regain their freedom just as he thanked concerned Nigerians for their prayers, moral and physical support, urging continuity in the spirit until everyone is freed.
