Jonathan N7bn largesse: l have proof CAN bribed me with N1m – Jos Pastor insists
//Godwin Ekosin, Kaduna//
Again, Pastor Kallamu Musa Ali Dikwa, the man who alleged that President Goodluck Jonathan campaign organization gave Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) N7billion to campaign for his failed re-election bid has insisted that he has documents of the payment of one million naira from First Bank to his Ecobank PLC account by CAN, to keep mute and withdraw his petition against its leadership.
CAN President, Dr. Supo Ayokunle had earlier clarified himself on the allegation saying, describing it fabrication and attempt by the accuser to extort money from him, “l don’t know any Dikwa. I have never met any Dikwa in my life. I came on board three months ago and l have never given out any money to any individual. This must be a fabrication. He’s not in CAN. This is not the first time he will be making such allegation. He’s looking for people he would get money from.”
Reacting to CAN President denial statement in Kaduna, Pastor Dikwa said that CAN through one Pastor Bosun Emmanuel in a press briefing in Abuja told newsmen that he, Pastor Dikwa had in a private meeting admitted lying against CAN leadership collecting N7billion.
He said, “as a Christian, l stand by my words and cannot because of any intimidation by anybody, group or organization begin to say the opposite for the fear of man,” he said.
“It is unfortunate that the CAN President, Dr. Supo Ayokunle is denying knowing me after sending his representatives, myself and my two lawyers met in Abuja trying to make reconciliation with me
“It is the same Ayokunle denying today after using former youth CAN President to persuade me to withdraw my petition against CAN saying that he don’t want to assume leadership of CAN with any problem.
“It is the same Ayokunle denying knowing me when conditions tabled before his representatives by my lawyers as a way of withdrawing the case from the court could not be met,” he explained.
He called on CAN leadership to fear God Almighty to do the needful knowing fully well that all would stand before the creator to account for every deed.
He reiterated, “l will not in any way stop telling the world the shameful act committed by CAN leadership last year. The essence of it is for them to repent and seek the face of God Almighty in repentance rather than employing all kinds of defensive mechanism to call on God wrath upon them.”
