2,200 NYSC members to begin orientation in Kaduna

2,200 BATCh ‘B’ (stream I) Corps members deployed to Kaduna State by National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) are expected to resume at Black Gold orientation camp, Kilometer 16, Kaduna-Abuja highway, Sabon Gaya, Chikun local government area of Kaduna state on Thursday for their 21-day orientation course.
This was contained in a statement signed by Coordinator of the scheme in the state, Muhammed Momoh and make available to media in Kaduna on Tuesday.
The statement read, “this is to inform the general public that the 2016 Batch ‘B’ Orientation Course has been scheduled to hold nationwide from Thursday, 24th November to Wednesday, 14th December 2016.
“In Kaduna State, two thousand two hundred (2,200) prospective corps members are expected to take part in the induction programme at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp.
“The Swearing-in Ceremony for the course participants will take place on Monday, 28th November, 2016 by 10:00am.
“Employers who desire the services of corps members should apply now stating clearly the number of corps members, course/discipline required and the welfare provision put in place for them”.
However, the State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai is expected to preside over the event as the Special Guest of Honour, while the Honourable Chief Judge of Kaduna State, Justice Tanimu Zailani will administer the Oath of Allegiance on the prospective Corps members.
The orientation course is one of the four cardinal points of NYSC, in it, corps members are exposed to dos and donts of the scheme among others as they begin the one year mandatory service to their mother land.
